شوکت صدیقی کا شمار اردو زبان کے ایسے ناول نگاروں کی صف میں ہوتا ہے، جن کے ناولوں کے تراجم دنیا کی مختلف زبانوں میں ہوئے۔ ان کا سب سے مشہور یہ ناول 'خدا کی بستی' دنیا کی متعدد زبانوں میں ترجمہ ہوا، جبکہ دوسرے مقبول ناول 'جانگلوس' کا بھی کئی زبانوں میں ترجمہ ہوا۔ ان کے لکھے ہوئے دیگر ناول ’چار دیواری‘ اور 'کمین گاہ' بھی اہم نوعیت کے حامل ہیں۔ شوکت صدیقی ان چار ناولوں اور اپنی دیگر تخلیقات کی وجہ سے اردو ادب میں ہمیشہ زندہ رہیں گے۔
