I read your suggestion about cutting down a pair and just sticking them in the sides but not around my ears, but wanted to be able to wear any of my various pairs of prescription sunglasses and clear glasses while riding so it was important to me to find a helmet that is eyeglass friendly. I guess modular helmets arent catching on as fast as some expected them to, but I really enjoy the ability to raise the front of the helmet while at stop lights or when I want to briefly talk to someone at a gas station
